Cylindrical filigree silver case housing the Esther scroll, topped with a handle to unroll the parchment. The work with twisted wires and soldered grains is typical of Jewish silversmiths from Yemen, the principal artisans of local silverware. The lid unscrews or hinges for Purim reading.
