Charity Box (Tsedaka) in Metal from Eastern Europe

The tsedaka box collects donations for the poor, study or the Land of Israel. In Eastern Europe, these metal boxes, fixed to the synagogue or kept at home, often bear the name of the cause — "Rabbi Meir Baal ha-Nes," funds for Jerusalem — and punctuate charitable life.
