"Ben Porat Yossef" Birth Plaque Printed in Germany

Printed placard for the lying-in chamber, mixing protective verses, angelic names and the verse "בן פורת יוסף" reputed to ward off the evil eye. Framed and hung until the circumcision, it belongs to the same tradition as the Ashkenazi kimpetbrivl but in the form of a printed broadside.
