Silver Omer Counting Plaque from Germany

Silver board fitted with dials or numbered shutters to display the current day of the Omer count. The repousse frame bears rinceaux, columns, and the blessing of the count. A prestige piece of wealthy Ashkenazi homes, it replaced with a precious object the wooden or paper models of the same period.
