Hanukkah Lamp from Immigration (made in Israel) in Copper

विवरण
This Hanukkah lamp (hanukkiah) was produced by Israeli art workshops of the twentieth century, and is part of the renewal of Jewish applied arts carried by the Bezalel school of Jerusalem. Lit during the eight evenings of the holiday, the hanukkiah has eight cups or nozzles aligned and an additional light holder, the shamash, used to light the others. Bezalel style sought to forge a national Jewish aesthetic by mixing Oriental motifs, biblical symbols and traditional techniques of repoussé and filigree. Made of repoussé copper, this lamp testifies to the artistic creation effort of nascent cultural Zionism.
