Domestic Charity Box (Tzedaka) in Brass from the Maghreb

Small charity piggy bank placed at home, in engraved brass with slot for coins and suspension handle. An alms offering was placed there before Sabbath or holidays, often for the benefit of R. Meir Baal HaNess or the poor of the community. Decorated with hamsas and blessing inscriptions.
