Wedding Necklace with Silver Plaques (labba) from Tunisia

Heavy nuptial necklace composed of silver plaques and pendants assembled together, worn by the Jewish bride of Tunisia. Repoussé and filigree work, often done by Jewish goldsmiths, multiplies floral motifs, fish and protective hamsas. The labba completed the wedding ensemble with matching bracelets and earrings.
