Zasław (now Iziaslav, Khmelnytsky oblast, Ukraine), city of Volhynia, harbored a Jewish community attested since the 16th century, which played an important role in regional trade and fairs. During the Shoah, the community was annihilated by the Einsatzgruppen in 1942.
