Taghit

Taghit, oasis in western Saharan Algeria (wilaya of Béchar), had a small Jewish community linked to trans-Saharan caravan trade networks in the eighteenth–nineteenth centuries. As in other oases of southern Algeria, this presence gradually declined during the nineteenth century.
