Rabbi Nachman of Breslov (1772–1810), great-grandson of the Baal Shem Tov, founded a singular Hasidic stream marked by simple faith, the struggle against doubt, personal prayer (hitbodedut), and the use of allegorical tales. After his death his disciples appointed no successor, making Breslov a movement "without a living rebbe." His grave in Uman draws many pilgrims each year.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
