Mimouna is a festival celebrated by the Jews of Morocco and North Africa on the evening of the close of Passover and the following day. Families open their homes, set out an abundant table of sweets, including the moufleta, and exchange wishes of prosperity and good fortune. Brought to Israel with North African immigration, it has become a widely shared popular celebration.
