The kelalei ha-Talmud are the methodological principles governing reading and decision in the Talmud: rules dating the sages, the hierarchy of opinions, principles of ruling (for example, "the law follows Rabbi Akiva against his colleagues"). Works such as Maimonides' introduction to the Mishnah or the Halikhot Olam codify these rules, indispensable to rigorous study.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
