Distinct from the Mountain Jews, the Georgian Jews (Ebraeli) have lived in the Caucasus since antiquity and speak Judeo-Georgian (Kivruli). A community of merchants and artisans integrated into Georgian society, it preserved a strong traditional religiosity. Many emigrated to Israel from the 1970s onward.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
