Rabbi Abraham ben David of Posquières (c. 1125–1198), the Ravad, was one of the greatest Talmudists of Provence. He is best known for his Hasagot ("objections") to Maimonides' Mishneh Torah, in which he challenges rulings or demands their sources. Printed alongside Maimonides' text, his critical glosses embody the spirit of debate in halakhah.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
