Bava Metzia ("the Middle Gate") is one of the three tractates derived from the larger tractate Nezikin on damages. It treats lost objects, deposits, loans, hiring, usury (ribit) and relations between employers and workers. A cornerstone of Jewish civil law, it is among the most studied tractates in the yeshivot.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
