Intersection register · custodian, not owner
Avodah Zarah ("foreign worship") treats the laws concerning idolatry and relations with idolatrous gentiles in the Greco-Roman world. It deals with trade before pagan festivals, images and statues, and notably libation wine (yayin nesekh). The tractate offers valuable testimony on Jewish life in late antiquity and interreligious coexistence.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
