The liturgy of the Jews of Yemen is divided mainly into two rites: the Baladi, ancient and close to the usages of Maimonides, and the Shami, influenced by printed Sephardi editions. The Yemenite tradition is noted for its fidelity to Hebrew pronunciation and cantillation, and for the oral transmission of the Targum during the public Torah reading.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
