The halakhic midrashim are tannaitic collections that derive law from Torah verses according to established hermeneutical rules. The principal ones are the Mekhilta on Exodus, the Sifra on Leviticus and the Sifrei on Numbers and Deuteronomy, stemming from the schools of Rabbi Akiva and Rabbi Ishmael. They illuminate the organic link between Scripture and the Oral Law.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
