Dov Ber of Mezeritch (d. 1772), known as the Great Maggid, was the chief successor of the Baal Shem Tov and the organizer of the second generation of Hasidism. Around him formed a circle of disciples who spread across Eastern Europe to found their own courts. His speculative thought, marked by contemplation of the Ein Sof and self-annihilation, shaped Hasidic theology.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
