Judeo-Provençal, or Shuadit, was spoken by the Jews of the Comtat Venaissin and the papal towns (Carpentras, Avignon, Cavaillon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue). It left liturgical pieces and songs such as the famous 'Song of Queen Esther.' Its last known speaker reportedly died in the twentieth century.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
