A variety of Malayalam spoken by the Jews of Kerala, Judeo-Malayalam is notable for its rich repertoire of women's songs, transmitted orally and copied into family notebooks. These songs accompanied weddings and festivals and celebrate communal and biblical history. The corpus was collected and studied after the Cochin Jews' aliyah to Israel.
