A set of Judeo-Romance vernaculars spoken by Italian Jews, marked by Hebrew loanwords and Romance archaisms. Local varieties include the Bagitto of Livorno and the Giudeo-romanesco of Rome. These dialects fostered a literature of liturgical translations, poems and songs, now nearly extinct.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
