Hallel is a set of psalms of praise (Psalms 113 to 118) recited on joyful festivals, the three pilgrimage feasts, Hanukkah, and Rosh Chodesh. Depending on the day, the full or abridged Hallel is recited, with or without a blessing. This praise expresses gratitude and trust in God, and is traditionally associated with the Passover meal at the seder.
