Levi ben Gershom (1288-1344), known as the Ralbag or Gersonides, was a philosopher, exegete, mathematician, and astronomer in Orange and Avignon. His Milhamot Hashem addresses the immortality of the soul, prophecy, providence, and the eternity of the world with great rationalist boldness. He also invented the Jacob's staff, an astronomical instrument for measuring angles.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
