The Brisker method, developed by Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik (1853–1918) in Brest-Litovsk, offers a rigorous conceptual analysis of the Talmud and Maimonides. It distinguishes abstract categories (for instance between the object and the act of an obligation) to resolve difficulties. This "analytic" approach profoundly transformed study in the Lithuanian yeshivot and their heirs.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
