Intersection register · custodian, not owner
A narrative genre of rhymed prose interspersed with poems, adapted from the Arabic maqama by medieval Hebrew authors. Its masterpiece is Judah Al-Harizi's Tahkemoni; Joseph ibn Zabara's Sefer Sha'ashuim and Immanuel of Rome's Mahberot also belong to it. The genre blends social satire, linguistic virtuosity and irony.
