Havdalah is the ceremony marking the close of Shabbat and festivals, distinguishing sacred time from ordinary time. It brings together four elements: a cup of wine, spices (besamim), the flame of a braided candle, and the blessings of separation. This domestic rite, full of symbols of sweetness and light, accompanies the return to the working week.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
