The Shekhinah denotes the "presence" or "indwelling" of God among people, from rabbinic literature to Kabbalah, where it becomes the lowest sefirah and the feminine aspect of the divine. Associated with Israel's exile and the longing for union, the Shekhinah plays a central role in prayer, the Sabbath, and the mystical thought of cosmic repair.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
