Birkat HaKohanim is the threefold blessing by which the descendants of Aaron bless the congregation, following the formula in the Book of Numbers. Recited by the Kohanim with hands raised and covered by the tallit, it forms part of the Amidah's repetition. Its frequency varies: daily in the Land of Israel and many Eastern communities, rarer in the Ashkenazi diaspora.
