Aggadah denotes all the non-legal elements of rabbinic literature: stories, legends, parables, theological and moral reflection, as opposed to halakhah. Present throughout the Talmud and midrashim, it transmits the values and worldview of the sages. Collections such as the Ein Yaakov gather the aggadah of the Talmud, and its study enjoys a modern revival.
This Great Book does not yet have published chapters. The chapters — each bearing its register, its epistemic status and its sources — will be added as editorial enrichment and assisted generation progress.
