Yakhin u-Voaz — a collection of responsa by Tzemaḥ ben Shlomo Duran (1438-1510), third generation of the Duran dynasty of Algiers, son of the Rashbash and grandson of the Rashbatz. The title, drawn from the two columns of Solomon's Temple (1 Kings 7:21), claims the status of twin “pillars” of a halakhic edifice handed down over three generations. The work closes the dynasty of the three Durans who structured Algerian halakha over nearly one hundred and twenty years (1391-1510).
