Seder Rav Amram is the oldest complete Jewish prayer book (siddur). Composed around 860 by the Gaon of Sura in response to a request from Spanish Jewish communities, it established for the first time in writing the liturgical sequence for the entire year and served as a model for all subsequent prayer books.
