La brève prière qui interrompt et divise en trois sections la confession plus longue des péchés énumérés par ordre alphabétique ([voir 'Al Ḥeṭ](/articles/1228-al-het)) dans les prières du Jour de l'Expiation. La mélodie traditionnelle présente de nombreuses variantes outre les précédentes (comp. les versions polonaise et allemande données dans le « Ba'al Tefillah » de Baer, No. 1357), toutes basées sur les phrases plaintives de la lamentation qui envahit la [SeliḤah](/articles/13408-selihah).
