Périodique juif mensuel dont l'objectif avoué s'exprime dans son sous-titre comme « étant une défense du judaïsme contre tous les adversaires, et particulièrement contre les attaques insidieuses de l'avocat d'Israël ». Il fut publié à New York et édité par Solomon H. Jackson du 1er mars 1823 au 1er mars 1825. « The Jew » fut le premier périodique juif publié aux États-Unis, et était destiné à combattre les missionnaires chrétiens.
