Kfar ha-Yishuv, radio contribution. Booklet containing 40 stamps, 5708 [1948]. Complete booklet with 40 stamps serving as receipts for payment of the radio tax. The stamps feature an illustration of a map of the Land of Israel and the kibbutzim of Negba and Dafna, which were established as part of the Tower and Stockade operation. Kfar ha-Yishuv — a collection mechanism for gathering funds for the security needs of the Jewish settlement during the period of unrest 5696–5699 and up to the establishment of the State. The collection operated, among other means, through the imposition of indirect taxes on imported goods, food products, public transportation fares, and luxuries such as radios. Confirmation of payment of the indirect tax came in the form of stamps. Good condition.
