Ketubah for the marriage of the groom Aaron ben Rabbi Moses ha-Levi with the bride Pigla "called Franciska" daughter of Rabbi Raphael. Prague, Tevet 5601, December 1840. Neat Ashkenazi script on parchment. Witness signatures: "the honored Joseph called Yosef Toybes, faithful sexton of the Prague community", and "the honored Gabriel David Leyfen, faithful sexton of the Prague community". At the head of the ketubah are government approval stamps [in one of them the secular date is found]. 21 cm. Good condition, fold marks along and across the parchment.
