The "Pardess" Association, the first cooperative society founded in the Land, with the aim of establishing an enterprise for marketing orchard produce and improving working conditions, especially in packing work. It was headed by Simeon Rokach and Joshua Stampfer, and in its heyday it maintained sales branches in six coastal cities in England as well as in Istanbul, Alexandria, and Cairo. 1. A seal made of solid metal sheet, for stamping the association's emblem on crates for shipping citrus fruit. "Pardess – Jaffa – Grape Fruit" and two camels carrying crates on their backs. 2. An album containing 16 quality photographs, described in Hebrew and English: young orchard, visit of the High Commissioner to the packing house, fruit inspection, orange crates for shipping, material storage in Rehovot, and more. 3. The Pardess Association at 70 (1900–1970), a book published by the association. Various sizes. Good condition.
