Printed letter from the trustees of "House of the Scribe and the Illuminator" [the original name of "Kollel Shomrei HaHomat"]. Jerusalem, [1864?]. "For the sake of unification of the Holy One and His Presence... we are sitting (wrapped in hunger)... hold our souls dear in your eyes, for we are poor and needy... for the Lord's hands, the Kollelim, the separated ones for His Presence... they have ten institutions like the congregation of Bnei Hungrin who are here... and we ask all the righteous leaders, the trustees and the administrators... to receive collection boxes into their homes... those who await and plead with tears... here in the Holy City Jerusalem".
