"Letter to the Troops" and "Letter to the Female Troops" – two pamphlets by Rabbi Aaron Zev Ashkoli, the military chaplain. Published by the Rescue Committee of the Jewish Agency, Italy, 1945. The letters are addressed to Jewish soldiers in the British Army (Jewish fighting brigade). In the letter to the female troops, the rabbi appeals to Jewish women soldiers not to enter into romantic relationships with non-Jewish soldiers – "This foreign man is not at all 'worse' than a Jew. However, it did not trouble him at all when they slaughtered your mother". 7; 12 pages, 15 cm. Very good condition.
