Le premier journal yiddish du matin paraissant quotidiennement ; établi à New York le 2 juillet 1901 par Jacob Saphirstein, qui en est encore (1904) le rédacteur en chef ; actuellement publié par la Jewish Press Publishing Company. Son équipe de rédacteurs comprend Jacob Magidoff (rédacteur chargé de la chronique locale), Ḥayyim Malitz, A. M. Sharkansky, M. Seifert, I. Friedman, et Peter Wiernik. Bien que se déclarant Orthodoxe et Sioniste, il est le plus laïque des journaux yiddish en Amérique, et se fait l'ardent partisan de l'américanisation des immigrants russes qui forment le gros de son lectorat.
