Code of Jewish law by Joseph Karo (“The Set Table”), published in Venice in 1565 and complemented by the Ashkenazi glosses of Moses Isserles (the Rema). It became the reference code of halakhic practice for the entire Jewish world, both Sephardic and Ashkenazi.
