Goldschmidt a publié un ouvrage (Strasbourg, 1894) qu'il donna pour être un apocryphe araméen. Mais A. Epstein ("Monatsschrift," xxxviii. 479) a montré que c'était une œuvre apocryphe de Goldschmidt lui-même, qui avait traduit l'Hexaéméron éthiopien du Pseudo-Épiphane en araméen, puis l'avait édité comme s'il s'agissait d'un ancien apocryphe juif.
