The Zousfana valley, a border axis between eastern Morocco and Algeria (province of Béchar/Figuig), aligned several ksour, some of which sheltered Jewish families participating in exchanges between Saharan oases. These families formed a link in the trans-Saharan commercial networks of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
