Region: Libye (Tripolitaine, district de Zintan)
Intersection register · custodian, not owner
A mountain town in the Libyan Jabal Nafusa, Zintan was home to a small Jewish community linked to commercial exchanges with the surrounding Ibadi Berber tribes in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The Jewish presence there was modest and articulated within the network of Jabal Nafusa communities.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Zintan give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
