Intersection register · custodian, not owner

Zaghouan, a mountain town in north-central Tunisia, famous for its Roman springs, welcomed a small Jewish community during the Ottoman and French periods. Jewish families there devoted themselves primarily to crafts, peddling, and small trade. This community, like most Tunisian provincial Jews, emigrated to Tunis and then to Israel and France during the 20th century.

The days of this book

This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Zaghouan give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.

You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
