A city in the Jabal Nafusa in Libyan Tripolitania, Yafran was home to Jewish artisans and merchants living in coexistence with the Ibadi Berber communities of the mountain. These Jews, known as the 'Mountain Jews' of Libya, practiced goldsmithing and the textile trade.
