Wintzenheim, an Alsatian village near Colmar, hosted a rural Jewish community attested in parish and consistorial registers from the 18th century. The Jews of Wintzenheim, as in other villages of the Haut-Rhin, were subject to protection fees and engaged primarily in cattle trading and small commerce.

The days of this book
