Ville commerciale de Chine. Ses habitants juifs sont au nombre d'environ 150, dont la plupart sont Russes et Polonais. Ils ne se sont pas organisés en communauté et ne tiennent des services divins que pendant la saison pénitentielle, quand des salles particulières sont utilisées et que des Sefer Torahs sont apportés de Shanghai. En 1902, J. Dietrich acheta un terrain et le donna aux habitants juifs à des fins d'inhumation. En 1904, une branche de l'Anglo-Jewish Association fut formée, dont le Dr M. Linscer est président. Les Juifs de Tien-Tsin sont principalement des marchands et des tenanciers d'hôtels.
