Parmi ces derniers, 651 sont artisans, dont 419 possèdent des boutiques, 192 sont ouvriers salariés et 40 sont apprentis. Le commerce prédominant est la confection, dans laquelle 165 personnes sont engagées ; 167 Juifs sont compagnons, et 120 sont employés dans une papeterie. Plusieurs ḥadarim et une Talmud Torah avec 45 élèves sont les seules institutions d'enseignement.

Bobrik et Bobry, situés à une distance de 60 verstes (40 milles anglais) de Chernobyl, sont des colonies juives dans lesquelles 47 familles cultivent 618 déciatines de terre.
