Staszów, in the Kielce region (present-day Holy Cross Voivodeship), harbored an ancient Jewish community attested from the 17th century. Jews constituted a significant portion of the population and were active in trade and artisan crafts. The Holocaust led to the deportation and extermination of nearly the entire community.

The days of this book
This book bears no memory day yet. The sources that document Staszów give years and centuries, never a day; we do not invent one.
You know a date — a remembrance, a hilloula, the anniversary of a departure? Give it its day
